Yes, blogs and articles are different.
A blog is usually written to share a certain position or belief on something.
Articles, on the other hand, are meant to educate or share an authentic story.
Here’s how I will write great articles for you:
- I will only use credible sources in your articles regardless of the topic
- I will write in an unbiased and authoritative fashion
- I will deliver them on time and per the requirement.
Guest posts are nothing more than blogs and/or articles written on someone else’s website.
Many marketers guest post to gain traffic and attention from much larger blogs for their own.
Here’s a brief track record of the performance of my guest posts:
- This 2015 Huffington Post student loans blog received over 800 comments, 52,000 shares and like, and a feature in USA Today College.
- My freelance article about the importance of aunts and uncles in a kid’s life generated nearly 167,000 likes and shares across social media.
- An article on The Penny Hoarder detailing how I purchased all my children’s back to school clothes for less that $40 was viewed over 14,000 times
I’m also a graduate of the wildly popular Guest Blogging Certification Course by famed blogger, Jon Morrow.
Writing in such a manner that entices the audience with emotional triggers to take an action is copywriting.
You may equate copywriting to those cheesy health supplement ads in the back of magazines. And you’re right.
But copywriting can also be done in blog writing and content marketing.
Long-form copy written on a simple page in an almost sales funnel fashion with the intention of getting the reader to purchase something is a landing page.
Customers either clicked on a link in an email, article, or some other venue to get to your landing page to learn more about the information they read on the previous website.
Landing pages, if done right, are super effective at increasing conversions and sales for businesses. They are very popular for a new product launch, a contest you’re running, free trial offers, discounts, etc.
Don’t know how to create one? Let me show you.
Extensive Research Skills
When I was an MBA student, I felt like I was writing a major thesis paper once a month. It was PAINFUL but I got accustomed to it. And when I became a writer, I noticed how quickly and effectively I could shift through the bogusness of the internet to uncover unbiased, medically and scientifically based research.
I will do the same for you.
YouTube Video Creation (to include scriptwriting and editing)
Years ago, when I was farting around on my MacBook, I started playing with iMovie and my Nikon. If these other beauty bloggers can do, why can’t I, I thought. After some time, I got good at it!
Editing, graphic designing, video scripts and other creative methods are all skills I’ve obtain over the years using YouTube so I’ll be happy to put together a pretty dope video project for you.
Technical Writing (i.e. user guides, process manuals, policy papers)
I worked alongside uniformed personnel putting very complex processes guides into a scannable how-to documentation that helped them complete their missions.
I did this for over 10 years.
So, if you got a pain-in-the-ass technical document to craft together, just hand it over, mate!

Years ago, I created a book proposal that got accepted!
There is a very specific blueprint to follow that gets a proposal read and accepted.
In fact, I learned much of my knowledge on book proposals from the great Michael Hyatt. Google him; he’s a beast!
So, if you need someone to help with your book proposal, let me know.
You would be very surprised how bad multi-billion dollar industries DO NOT talk to their own subordinates.
What is the strategic communications plan for our company?
What is the message we want to share with stakeholders?
What is the message we want to share with lower and mid management?
What content is actionable and relevant to employees?
You’ll likely be asking yourself these questions and many more trying to craft out a comms plan.
So, let me take that headache off your hands.
Are your subscribers reading your emails?
Is your CTR (click-through-rate) with your email campaigns pretty low?
It could mean a variety of things. Maybe they’re missing your headlines, perhaps the offer in the email isn’t clear. Maybe the call to action is completely missing and you don’t even know it.
I will happily take over this tasks for you and help improve your CTR for your email campaigns.
Periodic bulletins for your customers or an internal communications vehicle for your business is just one method to maintain an authentic dialogue with your audience.
I use tools like Microsoft Publisher, Canva, PicMonkey, Photoshop, and other fun doohickeys to create beautiful newsletters. I love to be creative and daring with my newsletters, all in a strategic and tangible manner that gets your products clicked on.
WordPress Content Management
Since 2011, I’ve relied on WordPress for all my blogging projects. The super simple layout, widgets, and integration of tools like Google Analytics and Adsense makes this web content manager very ideal. Most themes work on WordPress, which comes in handy when you want creative juices to flow.
If you need someone to manage your WordPress content management, holler at me.
I’m well versed at optimizing content for better search results. I love using Google AdWords to find the best performing keywords and/or related keywords to incorporate into articles.
I will use these tactics and more in all the content projects I design for you. Let’s talk today.
